N-Acetyl Cysteine is a form of the amino acid L-cysteine and is synthesized by the body. N-Acetyl Cysteine is involved in the production of glutathione by the liver. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that protects the liver from potential harm caused by toxins that the liver removes from the blood stream. Glutathione is also an integral part of maintaining a healthy immune system. It is responsible for transporting nutrients to lymphocytes and phagocytes, two cells that are critical to immune function.
Recommended Dosage: As a dietary supplement, take one tablet one to three times daily, or as directed by a physician.
