- Overall mortality/liver transplant rate was significantly greater in placebo group versus SAM-e group (P = 0.025) for patients in Child classes A and B
- Differences between the two groups in 2-year survival curves (time to death or liver transplant) were also significant in favor of SAM-e (P = 0.046)
